Firmwide Senior Director of Design Named
REES, an architecture, planning and interior design firm, is proud to announce their new Senior Director of Design, Farooq Karim, AIA, IIDA, LEED AP. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Oklahoma, is a registered architect in 13 states, a registered interior designer and a LEED Accredited Professional.
Farooq has been a REES team member for 16 years and was recently the recipient of the JB Chenoweth Award. “During my 16 years at REES I have learned that the most important factor in having a successful career is having good people around me. I have always been lucky to have great people to learn from, work with and to lead. This new position will allow me to continue this tradition and build a strong culture of design throughout the firm in the years to come,” said Karim. He has worked on such projects as the University of Oklahoma Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communications; Chickasaw Nation Industries, Inc. Norman Campus Master Plan, Data Center and new office building and Choctaw Nation Casinos. As a Senior Director of Design, Farooq’s main focus includes programming, schematic design and design development.
