REES Congratulates OSU on the Topping Out of the Interdisciplinary Science Research Building
REES congratulates Oklahoma State University (OSU) on the topping out of the new Interdisciplinary Science Research Building which occurred May 21, 2009.
“The Interdisciplinary Science Research Building is a major step forward for OSU. It is a flagship building that will lead OSU’s laboratory-based research activities into the future, providing facilities for our scientists and students are second to none. The design team at REES has been instrumental to the project and their technical personnel have been perfect partners. Today’s ceremony marks a significant point in the building’s construction and we all look forward with excitement to its final completion”, said Dr. McKeever, Oklahoma State University.
The $70 million facility designed by Cannon Design and REES provides cutting edge, flexible laboratory space and enables interdisciplinary research among the physical and biological sciences and is a flagship building on the campus rising 800 feet above the campus.
The facility, consisting of 125,000 new square feet and 30,000 renovated square feet, is Phase I of a three-phase research complex that will form a science zone as envisioned in the school’s campus master plan. The finished building will be a mixture of unassigned and occupied lab space.
