WFSB-TV MOVES INTO STATE-OF-THE-ART BROADCAST FACILITY

Meredith Corporation retained Rees Associates to orchestrate their transition from a 1940’s era analog facility to an innovative environment suitable for WFSB-TV’s 21st century digital operation. The broadcasting architectural firm designed the site overlooking Rocky Hill, CT to include a two-story, 65,000 square foot building, as well as a 150-foot STL/TSL tower and helipad.

The double-height news set that provides a unique backdrop for their five hours of news broadcasts is located in the center of the station and is designed so that many of the associated spaces overlook the news department. This configuration allows the creative energy of the news department to infuse the WFSB-TV staff throughout the day.
