REES SELECTED TO DESIGN STATE-OF-THE-ART HOSPITAL IN CALABAR, NIGERIA

Rees Associates has been selected to design a world class U.S. Standard Hospital in Calabar, Nigeria. The team includes Rees Associates, Inc. and OMMA Healthcare, LLC. The initial design conceptualizes a 150 bed, 250,000 square foot Acute Care Hospital. Governor Liyel Imoke described the selection of REES and OMMA as “an important day to commence the realization of the state’s vision of providing affordable health care delivery services to its citizenry.”

The REES team is looking forward to applying its 34 years of healthcare planning and design experience to provide not only the people of Nigeria, but all of sub-Saharan Africa, with a state-of-the-art hospital that meets the Joint Commission International Standards.
