EAST TEXAS BAPTIST UNIVERSITY STUDENT CENTER BREAKS GROUND

Strategically placed on one of the highest sites and pedestrian pathways on campus, the new 32,266 square foot Student Center celebrates the spiritual mission and proud traditions of East Texas Baptist University.

In accordance with the campus master plan, the project is located on the site of the former Merle Bruce Hall dormitory and will afford views of the campus quad and iconic Marshall Hall. Upon completion, the Student Center will house three large multipurpose rooms, an open activity area, chapel, governance room, food service areas, great rooms, student services, and public meeting spaces.

“Our goal is to enhance the University’s student life experience by centralizing social spaces and support services within an active and comfortable environment,” said REES Education Specialty Leader Patrick Bumpas. “We also offer students indoor and outdoor opportunities to collaborate, encouraging them to participate in sharing their talents and creativity with one another.”
