REES VICE PRESIDENT TO ADDRESS IIDA GEORGIA

Continuing her commitment to ongoing excellence in senior living design education, Beverly Brandon, AIA, CASP will present “The Power of Place” to the Georgia Chapter of the International Interior Design Association on February 24, 2010.

The presentation will highlight the use of “environmental psychology” in senior living, an approach to research-based design that combines aesthetics and psychology. Both theoretical and practical exercises will involve the audience in understanding and improving the quality of the designed environment to reduce stress, increase efficiency, and minimize accidents.

Nationally recognized as an expert in senior living design, Ms. Brandon has dedicated her career to understanding the needs of seniors. An avid researcher, she is a frequent presenter for senior living associations across the nation, and has authored numerous articles on best practices and emerging trends in senior living design. Ms. Brandon currently serves as REES’ Vice President of Senior Living Design and Research.

To attend the presentation, register through IIDA Georgia’s website at www.iidageorgia.org. A reception will be held at 6pm, with the presentation to follow.
