OSU NAMES FACILITY FOR FORMER OKLAHOMA GOVERNOR
Honoring a widely respected alumnus, Oklahoma State University has dedicated the new Interdisciplinary Science and Research Building to the late former U.S. Senator and Oklahoma Governor Henry Bellmon.
Designed by REES in partnership with Cannon Design, construction of the new Henry Bellmon Research Center will be completed this fall. The $70 Million, 124,000 square foot facility will house spaces for interdisciplinary research between the sciences of biodiversity, biophysics, photonics, synthetic chemistry, and advanced materials.
“Governor Bellmon, I think, would be proud his name will be on a building that will be so instrumental to the advancement of research at his alma mater,” said OSU Vice President of Research and Technology Transfer Stephen McKeever. “This state-of-the-art facility’s purpose is to bring a variety of disciplines from across campus together in one place to advance the university’s mission of teaching, research, and outreach.”
