HEREFORD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER BREAKS GROUND
The new Hereford Regional Medical Center broke ground on May 4th, 2010.
The 80,527 square foot replacement hospital, designed by REES and its Design/Build partner Cooper Medical in close association with hospital staff and administration, will be constructed adjacent to the recently completed Medical Office Building in Hereford, Texas. The new facility will be centered around a strategically located nursing station that will provide staff the ability to observe the ED, Nursing Unit, and Imaging center, thereby allowing for decreased travel distances and minimized staffing counts during non-peak times.
Additionally, welcoming accommodations for family and visitors will reinforce the concept of a “non-institutional” healing environment through the use of standard materials in a cost effective manner.
Construction is anticipated to be completed in July 2011.
