REES CONGRATULATES LEGENDARY OKLAHOMA BROADCASTER
REES is thrilled to congratulate our longtime client, the legendary Bill Thrash, for being honored with the 2010 Gold Circle Emmy Award from the Heartland Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences!
Thrash, only the second Oklahoman to win the award, has changed the landscape of the broadcast industry through his vision and innovation. From his first part-time job at Ada television station KTEN in 1955 to his current position as OETA Station Manager, Bill’s decades of passion and dedication to the industry have shaped the future of public broadcasting and touched the lives of Oklahomans across the state.
REES has been honored to work with Bill Thrash for over twenty years on projects for the KOCO, KFOR, OETA, and KWTV stations. Additionally, because of his outstanding contributions to the broadcast industry, a studio was recently dedicated in Thrash’s name at his alma mater, the REES-designed East Central University Fine Arts Center in Ada, Oklahoma. Congratulations to Bill Thrash on this well-deserved honor!
