To expedite communications and sustain its competitive edge in the ever-changing technology market, Rees Associates, Inc. maintains a general e-mail address and a secure web-based project workspace to allow for viewing and transmitting files. Our general e-mail address is rees@rees.com.
REES continually strives to increase team productivity and continuity. To maintain this effort, REES utilizes Autodesk® Buzzsaw® to better collaborate with team members. This software centralizes all project documents and communications in one secure online location. Protected access for design team members is provided so they can share updates and markups in real time, regardless of location. Comments are tied to file versions and stored outside of the drawing so the original file is not changed, maintaining accuracy while avoiding miscommunication and delays. This powerful tool provides an online work environment that seamlessly integrates the secure project with CAD-related software, tools and other services.
CAD Capabilities
REES produces pre-design, design and construction document drawings using AutoDesk® software, including all associated engineering drawings. The firm has the ability to use three-dimensional modeling to produce design scenarios as the design process evolves.
Utilizing Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) allows us to rapidly and efficiently produce all necessary documents within the specified time schedules. REES has in place and operational 80 computer aided design workstations running AutoCAD Architecture and Revit Architecture 2008 with output on multiple HP Designjet plotters and high-speed OCE production plotters. We utilize AutoCAD Architecture, Revit Architecture, 3D Viz and Sketchup software for three-dimensional studies. This combined use of software allows us to show our clients, as part of the design process, design alternatives which help all project team members make informed decisions about functions, circulation and aesthetics. Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a method to seamlessly bridge communication between architectural, engineering and construction. BIM efficiently generates and exchanges information easily, creates 3D representations throughout the building process and can simulate real world visualizations to streamline workflow while increasing quality. Recently, we have utilized Revit Architecture, which is a Building Information Modeling software, to produce drawings for Friendship West Baptist Church, Abundant Life Family Worship Church, NASCAR Images Penthouse, Churchill Residential, Applewood Medical Mall, and three Choctaw Nation Indian casinos.
