A little Rivalry never hurt anybody, right?
The Western Conference Finals may have had two of the REES offices pitted against each other (during the Mavericks v. Thunder theory you could often here chants in the background via conference call or video conference), but in the championship game the offices joined together to support a local team to one of our offices the Dallas Mavericks. Although it was difficult for the OKC Thunder fans to turn their attention to the Mavericks, the team played well and won the championship! In celebration, there was a parade yesterday through Dallas that just happened to pass by our Dallas office. From the windows and patios in our Dallas office, you could catch all of the crazy action down below. There was an expected crowd of 250,000 in the area for the parade and estimates of actual attendees are reaching beyond the expectations.
The REES Dallas staff were able to kick back and watch the crowd go by for a short break in the day. Team Member Nellie Montgomery said, "The energy around Dallas was electrifying, even at termperatures pushing 100 degrees. For moment, everyone forgot about their daily stresses and cheered on the WORLD CHAMPION DALLAS MAVERICKS. It was awesome."
