Consolidated Petroleum Lubricants Lab

Phillips 66’s design goals included consolidating the Lubricant Lab services into a space designed for specific research and testing. A challenge for us, as the architect, was to adapt the existing building into a functional and safe lab space including a blast proof 60’ tall envelope. The design consolidates research into one centralized location and updates the design and technology from their current retrofitted labs built in the 1960’s. Not only does this project benefit our client’s corporate goals, it creates jobs in the Bartlesville community that were formerly being phased out in Ponca City.
