Modern Renovation for Atlanta Art District's Silhouette Building

REES was hired to renovate and reposition the 220,000-square-foot, ten-story Silhouette Building originally built in the 1960s by the new owners. While maximizing a very limited budget, the design references the urban arts district in which it resides. The renovation included the addition of lighted gateways, along with a new fountain element and landscaping. The building lobby and all tenant floor lobbies were renovated and include custom digital wall coverings. The addition of bold silhouette images on the faces of the building was covered by both the Atlanta Journal and Constitution and CNN International as a point of interest focusing on the Cuban–immigrant mural painter who implemented the REES design.
