Traffic Management Center for Texas Department of Transportation

This two-story, 50,000-square-foot building supports the cooperative efforts of the Texas Department of Transportation, Dallas Area Rapid Transit and the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office. The building is built around a control room in which numerous video console station operators monitor traffic and transportation systems distributed throughout the Dallas transportation network. As a result of the Management Center’s high-profile role in the community, this building serves an important public relations and communications function to both the public at large and local area news and press associations
