Master Plan for East Texas Baptist University

East Texas Baptist University’s primary focus is on quality academic programs in the humanities, natural and social sciences, fine arts and selected professional areas. Providing and maintaining an environment conducive to learning, leadership development and academic excellence is critical to their mission. The University strives to serve students of varied ages and of diverse socioeconomic, geographic, cultural, ethnic and religious backgrounds. The campus, which is characterized by rolling tree covered hills in East Texas, serves an enrollment of 1,200 students with a Student to Faculty Ratio of 16:1 and an Average Class Size of 21. The highest elevation in the County is located on the historic quad at the center of campus. The master plan addresses issues of student life, academic expansion, housing, outreach to the community, growth in the Arts, parking and way-finding. Five, ten and fifteen year plans were developed to address growth patterns and issues within each focus area.
