Federal Aviation Administration Power Services Center and Lab

The Power Service Lab (PSL) is a free-standing facility adjacent to the recently completed Power Service Center (PSC) on the campus of the FAA’s Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center. While the PSC provides office space for the group tasked with the management and maintenance of portable power generation equipment for the FAA, the PSL provides the group with laboratory space for the simulation of equipment failures and the fabrication of repair and upgrade protocols to be undertaken across the FAA system of assets. The client’s needs focused on flexibility. They needed the capability to rearrange and essentially re-wire the entire facility quickly and easily. Due to frequent changes in specifications on the equipment they service, they needed the flexibility to easily adapt to changing technologies.
