Complete Renovation for Culberson Hospital

REES completed planning and design for Culberson Hospital’s new-13,400-square foot Critical Access Hospital. This facility replaced their existing hospital and includes inpatient beds, an emergency department and imaging center. The former 30-year-old facility continues to serve as support space and underwent a full interior renovation under the direction of REES. The imaging center, which includes general radiology, mammography and CT rooms, is adjacent to the emergency department to provide ease of access for patients. In order to maximize hospital staff, the reception desk is centrally-located, doubles as a nurses’ station and provides nurses with an optimal view of patient rooms and the emergency department while allowing the capability to easily direct visitors.

“Based on this and previous projects, the staff at REES have consistently proven their willingness to work with the client to accomplish the client’s specific objectives as to both quality and cost, meeting all project deadlines along the way. In particular, REES has been very sensitive to the budget limitations prevalent in smaller communities, and has been very willing to look for the most cost effective solutions in terms of square footage, department adjacencies, facility design and finishes.” - Judy Blazek, Owner, Business Strategies
