Assisted Living Addition to Blue Skies of Texas' Arnold House

In response to the demand created by Independent Living residents who were beginning to require additional care, Blue Skies of Texas (formerly Air Force Villages) needed to efficiently and cost-effectively add Assisted Living residences to their campus. REES created three-floor plan options and ultimately the client chose to construct a U-shaped addition to an existing Independent Living building, adding a total of 20 Assisted Living residences for a total of 21,204 square feet Additionally, the U-shaped addition created an enclosed courtyard that is used for therapeutic and social activities and provides a clear circulation path devoid of dead ends.

“We were extremely pleased with REES’ hands-on approach to managing the project, during design and once under construction... The final delivery of a completed project for the new Arnold House Assisted Living Addition provides a tremendous new showplace for Blue Skies of Texas (formerly Air Force Villages) to demonstrate our vision of best possible care for residents. We look forward to working with your firm in the future. Thanks for a job well done!” - Lambert P. “Bert” Landry, Director of Capital Projects, Blue Skies of Texas
