The 63,200-square-foot Le Roy & Lucile Melcher Center for Public Broadcasting gives KUHT/KUHF the ability to continue their distinguished record of community service and outstanding programming by replacing their aging physical plant with one that meets the needs of the twenty-first century.
By sharing the space with KUHT/KUHF, the center provides the School of Communication students with the real-world learning atmosphere vital to a rewarding career in broadcast media.
Phase II of this project, The Center for Advanced Telecommunications & Learning, will incorporate distance learning studios, virtual reality facilities, development labs and computer sciences classrooms.
