WCEU-TV serves Daytona Beach Community College through its educational and distance learning programs while providing the community with education and public television programming.
The 31,700 square foot WCEU-TV/Center For Educational Telecommunications allows WCEU-TV to continue providing Daytona Beach and its surrounding communities with the highest quality public programming, while expanding educational services to Daytona Beach Community College and its satellite facilities. New and enhanced educational programs, both broadcast and non-broadcast related, and distance learning capabilities have all been expanded to meet these educational needs.
The location of the facility on a more prominent area of the campus allows for higher visibility in the community. The dynamic environment provides a place for staff, students and visitors from the community to interact.The placement of the facility on its three acre site allows for future expansion. Careful consideration was also given to the aesthetic design of the facility. Materials already present on the campus, such as brick, glass and stucco, are all used in a way that reflects the high-tech nature of the facility. The design provides Daytona Beach Community College with a structure that both compliments and enhances the campus and its architecture.
