The design of this speculative office building, selected by RJR Nabisco to serve as its corporate headquarters, solved the challenge of fitting a new and distinctive structure into the rigid aesthetic framework of a pre-existing master planned development.
The site included two existing 20-story office buildings, a full service hotel and a 250,000-square-foot retail mall, which were organized around a central park and bell tower.
In addition to the design of the new 20-story, 477,634-square-foot office tower, the project called for interior design of public area spaces, design of a seven-level parking structure with a 1,246 car capacity, as well as landscape and site improvements.
