One Wachovia Center formally First Union National Bank



Charlotte, North Carolina

Serving as One Wachovia Bank’s corporate headquarters and operations center, this 42‑story office development includes an 880,000-square-foot office tower; an 8,370-square-foot branch banking facility, a 2,670-square-foot investment center, and a 19,496-square-foot retail services group operations center, all served by retail shops, restaurants, and an outdoor plaza.

Located at the plaza level of the office tower, One Wachovia Bank’s new banking facility was conceived to identify the bank with the new building, and promote a feeling of accessibility and client service. The visual openness of the design assures that people entering the building will feel that they have actually entered One Wachovia Bank.
