Lincoln Synergy Center - Mixed Use

Lincoln, Nebraska

This project consists of the redevelopment of a city block in downtown Lincoln, Nebraska and includes three components: two buildings adjacent to the city’s new civic plaza, ground floor retail space below a new 600(-square-foot) space, a public parking facility and a mixed-use tower to be built in conjunction with the parking structure. The city encouraged the best use of the proposed land without exceeding the maximum allowable height of 275 feet. The site is a key location adjacent to the city’s financial district, a commercial street corridor and the entrance to the University of Nebraska Campus.

The combination of the different programmatic elements, various user groups and compressed schedule provided the team with difficult challenges and required around the clock efforts.

After analysis of the program pieces, it was determined that the project would expand to include an adjacent block to accommodate all the elements in the development package, including a retirement community, an office building, a hotel, condos, retail and two parking garages.
