Renovation of a 40-year old, 11-story office building in downtown Atlanta included interior demolition and redesign of shared public amenities on all floors.

A new entry plaza sequence above the existing parking deck was designed to increase the building’s street presence, and an existing covered plaza area was converted to a new building entry lobby with adjacent retail space. Precast panels and dark brick on exterior surfaces were covered with a bright white coating, and the existing dark bronze glass windows were replaced with an energy-efficient clear glazing system. A new building signage system was implemented, designed around the new 30-foot, back-lighted white marble and black granite building icon that enhances the project’s new identity.
