The Container Store – Retail Stores

In October of 2006, The Container Store held a successful Grand Opening of their new flagship store in Los Angeles. The 25,000-square-foot store, designed by REES/Atlanta, is located on Santa Monica Boulevard at Century City, across from the Los Angeles Country Club.

More than 1600 people attended the Private Preview Party on Thursday, October 12th. The store opened to the public on the following Saturday morning with better-than-expected sales totals. According to the client, there were multiple “celebrity sightings” in the first week alone, including among others Donatella Versace and Halle Berry – twice in the first week.

REES has designed numerous retail projects for The Container Store, including retail venues in Missouri, New Jersey, Washington D.C., Colorado, and Texas. Rees also designed the current Container Store headquarters in Coppell, Texas.
