The Rose State Professional Education and Training Center (PTEC) serves a partnership between Rose State College and Tinker Air force Base by providing training facilities within a mile of the base located in Midwest City, Oklahoma.
Tinker Air force base projects that 7,000 civilian employees will meet retirement standards over the next five years which has led to the extension of a training contract with Rose State College. The design challenge included breaking through the paradigms of traditional college classrooms by creating an environment reminiscent of a Business Training Center. The 32,000 sq. ft., PTEC includes six multipurpose classrooms seating 30-60, one 100 seat tiered lecture hall, three computer labs seating from 20 to 36 students, an executive conference room, offices for facility directors, unique interior breakout areas for group interface as well as an exterior courtyard for enhanced educational experiences.
The project team also represents a partnership between REES and Fred Quinn Architects. This marks the third collaboration in Midwest City between the two firms.
