REES applied the FACILITY BUSINESS PLAN® approach to align Hope Medical Center’s business development goals with available real estate and financial resources.
The result is a Phase 1 Medical Office Building and Ambulatory Surgery Center – revenue-generators and magnets for the growing physician practice. Before construction is complete, design will commence on Phase 2 – a 5-story acute care hospital facility providing a total of 128 beds on opening day. Master planning provides expansion of 32 beds within the walls of this phase – primarily through adaptive re-use of “soft space”. Ultimate bed expansion is easily provided with new construction for a maximum of 160 beds.
