Challenged by a growing population and aging facilities, Nor Lea General Hospital needed to expand their facilities and services to better serve the residents of Nor Lea County.

REES worked with Nor Lea’s leadership to develop multiple expansion options, including shell alternatives, to meet the hospital’s growing needs. After evaluation, the hospital Board opted to build a new facility to link the existing hospital and outpatient clinic and renovate selected portions of the existing facilities. The expansion gives the Critical Access Hospital the ability to provide new services and state-of-the-art care, and includes an MRI suite, Cancer Treatment Center, Conference Center, Laboratory, and a new kitchen and dining area.

The hospital is now renovating portions of the original building to accommodate a new endoscopy suite and urology clinic.
