Security Design
The threat of terrorism against U.S. buildings and their occupants is very real. A well organized effort is underway to improve the security of federal buildings and today, more than ever, a multidisciplinary approach to all aspects of building design and construction is needed as building projects become increasingly complex.
With respect to security, building owners face a daunting matrix of choices and costs to address force protection design issues and to enhance public safety by promoting building security. REES professionals possess security training and the experience designing projects that have been built to withstand the threats of terrorism.
