Louisville’s Federal Bureau of Investigation facility is comprised of a three-story office building, two-story secured parking garage, and associated annex. Each element is set within the required 100-foot security perimeter.
The office building consists of approximately 108,000 square feet of space around a centrally located 3-story atrium. Entrance to the secured parking garage is possible from two floors. The facility also includes a staff lounge and secured outdoor terrace. REES’ design carefully balanced progressive collapse specifications with sustainable daylighting and light shelf elements.
When completed in the Fall of 2008, the facility will have a Silver LEED rating.
