Huizhou Mixed-Use Development

Huizhou, China

The Huizhou Mixed-Use Development is proposed to be located to the south of the main city on a 46-acre property. Designed to maximize the vistas resulting from the development’s relationship with the city and surrounding hillsides, the concept proposes to create a lake at the center of the development with a mix of residential, retail and recreational uses linked by pedestrian trail.

The anchor of the development will be a Continuing Care Retirement Community containing a 280-unit, 22-story Independent Living Residence, a 56-resident Memory Care and Skilled Nursing facility, and an adjacent two-level structure housing dining venues, recreational, and other ancillary spaces. The development’s use of local design vernacular and sustainable technology will enhance the senior resident’s comfort and ability to age successfully in a first-class community.

The senior living community will be flanked with a six-level hotel and retail, office, recreational, and residential facilities. The residential buildings will include fourteen 20-story residential condominium towers, four mid-rise residential towers, and 50 luxury hillside home sites.
