ActivCare® Residential Alzheimer Care facilities promote the maintenance of each resident's existing skills and abilities through a specially designed therapeutic activity program.
REES designed a prototype facility that the client site-adapted in several states. The design calls for 48 units with studio and one-room suites. In a home-like setting, therapeutic programs are based on very specific behavior management systems, providing the Alzheimer's resident with quality care and an environment to maintain dignity with family support.
Living units are located in four “neighborhoods” that allow each resident the freedom to wander within a safe environment without dead-end corridors.
