Chandler Estates at Laurel Heights

The repositioning of Chandler Estate at Laurel Heights achieves the goal of Morningside Ministries to serve the needs of the residents by providing a continuum of care.

REES provided design and architectural services to reposition, expand and renovate the historic Chandler Estate, established in the mid-1800s. The estate includes an existing independent living facility, a nursing home and the original Chandler Home. The two-level nursing home was expanded at both ends to include administration, private dining, new main entry/lobby, dining, activity space, physical therapy, nine new private nursing beds and covered parking. Renovation consists of three new private rooms, dining, activity room and kitchen. Total area equals 22,800 square feet.

New construction consists of a 15,000-square-foot assisted living facility with 12 resident units and 12 luxury units. A two-level enclosed walkway between the independent living facility and the historic Chandler Home will be constructed in the future.
