REES Wins Four Oklahoma Interior Design Awards

REES is proud to accept four awards from the Oklahoma Interior Design Coalition’s Oklahoma Interior Design Awards! The awards recognize a project’s ability to impact the health, safety, and welfare of the users and the project’s functional, contextual, social, sustainable, and aesthetic characteristics. Congratulations to the project teams on your recognitions!

Best in Higher Education  – The University of Oklahoma’s Zarrow Family Faculty and Graduate Center

The previously staff-only spaces in the University of Oklahoma Bizzell Memorial Library’s Lower Level 2 were transformed into a faculty and graduate student oasis. The faculty and graduate–only areas are defined by a high–performance glass wall system that provides better acoustics, integrates technology and gives an open feeling to the lower level.

Honorable Mention in Large Healthcare – McBride Orthopedic Hospital’s Ambulatory Surgery Center

McBride wanted to relocate their ambulatory surgery center closer to campus of their recently completed hospital, clinic and medical office building, which were also designed by REES. The 36,746-square-foot building brings six operating rooms, a 24-bed prep and recovery unit as well as a 12-bed PACU unit to the campus.

Honorable Mention in Small Healthcare – Stillwater Medical Center’s Cancer Center
