Interior Designer (Mid-Level)

 Manage and direct the efforts of architects and consultants to produce architectural projects on time and within budget.  Requires overall scheduling of activities, defining and coordinating all tasks required to produce the project that meets the needs of the client and the firm. This position will be based out of either REES' office in Oklahoma City near Lake Hefner or REES' office in The Woodlands near Houston.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Design and produce project documents including but not limited to programming, space planning schematic design, design development, construction documents and presentation documents.
  • Research and select finishes, architectural and interiors products, and light fixtures for interior spaces.
  • Meet with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and others, as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of interior code requirements.
  • Coordinate construction administration and perform such tasks as review of submittals, organization of files, and observe installation.
  • Assist with furniture specifications.
  • Maintain resource library.
  • Communicate with vendors and set up product presentations with sales representatives.
  • Participate in marketing activities as part of project teams.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience is needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in interior design from a Council for Interior Design Accredited program.
  • Must be a registered Interior Designer.
  • Extensive working knowledge of: REVIT, Microsoft Office programs, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite programs (Photoshop and Illustrator preferred).
  • Knowledge of Lumion preferred.
