Interior Designer (Mid-Level)

Provide design technical, managerial, administrative and supervisory assistance on Interiors projects or other projects if any, to ensure that professional standards and design controls are met.  Direct the work efforts of others and work directly with clients. This position is based out of REES' office located in the Dallas Design District

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop functional requirements and project design criteria.
  • Prepare furniture selection and specifications.
  • Maintain and review design and planning principles and building/planning code requirements.
  • Assist with specification organization and preparation.
  • Develop construction costs and methods.
  • Prepare contract documents.
  • Develop detailed design concepts.
  • Direct the work efforts of others.
  • Interpret ordinances and client’s needs.
  • Assist in pursuing work related to Interiors.
  • Work directly with clients.
  • Participate in industry events.
  • Must participate in one or more professional organizations.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience is needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in interior design from a Council for Interior Design Accredited program.
  • Must be a registered Interior Designer.
  • LEED AP accredited, desired.
  • Extensive working knowledge of REVIT.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and Photoshop.
