New STEM and Urban Camp for the Girl Scouts of Western Oklahoma
The Girl Scouts sold their old camp, Camp Cookieland, in order to help make way for a new turnpike project. Their new camp, envisioned to promote STEM elements, will be located adjacent to the Oklahoma City Zoo. The camp is set to include a camp fire and amphitheatre, pool, three treehouses, two campsites, trails throughout and kayak access to Northeast Lake. A two–story lodge will be the focal point of the camp. The first floor will provide offices, flexible event space, a STEM room, a covered porch and three fireplaces. Bunk rooms will be located on the upper level.
